Louis Vuitton (below left) required a metro ride, a short walk and a 45 minute entry line. I enjoyed my visit, yet as I was walking through the galleries and in and around the formed structure by architect Frank Gehry, I sensed a definite confrontation between form and function and an emptiness and lack of esthetics as I strolled here and there (below). Works by Gerhard Richter (below), Ellsworth Kelly, Thomas Schütte and others didn't inspire nor bring new purpose or direction to the Paris art world. I suppose it was an obligation for Paris to have a structure by Frank Gehry and one that attempts and, perhaps, exceeds the appeal of any art displayed within....Each time I'm in Paris, I like to dine in several of my favorites but always select new spots to have a meal. This trip I returned to Chez Denise where I had my usual foie de veau à l'anglaise with fries and Brouilly house wine. Other restaurants I enjoyed were:
